Curtainwall and Drymatic, such an effective partnership!
Alexx Taylor – Custom Dry in NEWCASTLE NSW
Job of the month March 2020
Mother nature combined with a leaking roof was the culprit on this residential job. Alexx attended the job which was contained to the rumpus of the house thanks to sunken nature of the room, with approximately an inch of water across the entire floor this could have caused considerably more damage to the house if it wasn’t for the step!
Once the water was extracted the next step, with the damage contained to this room, was to setup up some containment to ensure the drying effort was not lost through the two large openings to the room. Using the Curtainwall system this job is easy; extendable spring-loaded poles with foam rails hold the plastic sheeting in place without the need for tape this saves time and eliminates damage. Installation of a zipper maintains easy and quick access to the area.
Next bring a couple of air movers connected to Drymatic Boost Bars to blow hot air over the tiles and heat up the room to speed up the evaporation process.
A Drymatic II was also deployed in conjunction with a injection kit to use a push-pull method to heat and dry the air in the cavity above the window. The D2 exhaust was also ducted to the outside to remove the wet air from the contained area.
Overall not a massive job but without a good setup this could have taken so much longer to dry properly prolonging the disruption to the household.
Great work Alexx, with Mr Tony Taylor locked away in isolation you demonstrated you have got this all under control!! Thanks for taking the time to record with voice over and then sharing this job with the group.
