In this month’s video, drying of a hardwood floor on ply and concrete is being undertaken. Drymatic Boost Bars and Drymatic Mats with connectors are set up to dry the floor within the containment. The use of the Drymatic II ensures control of the environment as it sucks the air from within the containment, to exhaust wet air and heat replenishment air to add to the environment. This drops the relative humidity and raises the surface temperature as the Restore Solutions air movers blowing into the boost and mats can bring the floor to 40 to 45 degrees to accelerate and energise the timber to release the water from the capillaries. This creates high vapour pressure on the materials to escape to create lower vapour pressure in the air and successfully save the timber floor. Another great win for Drymatic!

In this property we can see there has been inundation and strip out to 1200mm high has been carried out. Area has been HEPA vacuumed and a decontamination clean carried out, now ready to be dried. In the centre of the room there is an air filter device to filter the air and exhaust it out. Air movers are used to blow into Drymatic Boost Bar which blow into Drymatic Wall Mats. The wall mats are blowing half a metre out from the wall and half a metre up the wall to add energy to the base plate and bottom of the frames. Although the mats only go half a metre up the wall, these mats will send heat a further metre up the wall from where they are situated. The microjets of energy blowing on the material raising the surface temperature by a minimum of 10 degrees and doubling the evaporation rate. Overall, an excellent use of floor and wall mats.
