Drymatic giving your wardrobe a Boost!

Photo of the month January 2022

This January we have the photo of the month provided by Michael Gordon from Reassured Restorations.

In the photo we can see a Restore Solutions Radial Flat Fan connected to a Drymatic Boost Bar, which in turn is connected to a Drymatic Triangle Mat (without holes) and finally into a Drymatic Wall Mat.

A job like this was after hours on a weekend which means quick action was necessary but further investigation would be needed before a complete solution could be implemented.

The water damage may have been a slow leak into the wall, which turned into a bigger leak. This setup allows for the affected wall to be dried and making sure no mould is growing on the clothes. Basically we are fixing the moisture in the wall while also allowing the customer to access their wardrobe during the target drying phase.

Eventually the wall will be pressure tested to see if it needs to be opened up.

How this water damage restoration job is setup allows the Radial Flat Fan to pump air into the Boost Bar which heats up the air by 10 degrees Celsius. Heating the air this way allows us to double the evaporation rate of the affected material, in this case the wall. The Boost Bar pushes this hot air into the Triangle Mat, which then directs all this energy into the Wall Mat.

As mentioned earlier we are target drying the wall before we take any invasive action, and particularly on a weekend where we haven't been given approval yet to do so. At least we can start the drying process and once we have approval we might need to take invasive action to fix the wall.

This is one of the smallest spaces for a water damage job we’ve seen!
