Concrete drying with the Drymatic edge

Photo of the month April 2022

The April 2022 photo of the month goes to Daniel Taurins from DT Restorations. Towards the end of this water damage job there was still some moisture around the edges of the concrete slab.

We can see from this photo that the aim here was to target dry the edges of the concrete.

An air mover is used to blow air into a Drymatic Boost Bar. The air is heated and pushed into the mats. The wonderful thing about this particular setup is that there are a number of smaller sized Drymatic Mats that have been connected and chained together to cover the entire surface of the concrete edges.

The holes at the bottom of the mats push hot air onto the surface of the concrete which injects extra extra energy to the material. This added energy raises the temperature of the surface to +10 degrees higher than the ambient temperature. This process raises the evaporation pressure in the material which dries the concrete very quickly.

Dan did a great job chaining these mats together!
