Drymatic saves the house of books

Daniel Taurins – SRS Specialised Restoration Services Orange NSW

Job of the month January 2020

Job of the month January 2020 Drymatic Australia.jpg

Like our photo of the month the culprit here is another storm this time occurring in Orange in NSW.  Heavy rain found its way through the roof and into this multi-story building affecting all levels with an office and bookstore calling the SRS team in to restore their environment back to pre-water damage condition.

After the team extracted all the standing water and removed the dirt and debris, they got to work setting up the equipment to dry the floor covering and structure.

Using a number of Drymatic II’s feeding hot dry air in to the ceiling cavity the drying process was well underway, add in a few Drymatic Boost bars some with a 4 port kit allowed more hot air to be directed in to wall cavities.  Remember by increasing the temperature of the wet materials you are increasing the speed of moisture evaporation from these materials and by combining this with the increased environment temperature courtesy of the Drymatic II this accelerates the overall drying process.

Then to top it all off add various styles of air movers to dry all the floor coverings.

Great work Daniel and the team at SRS and thanks for taking the time to record and share this job with the group.
