In this month’s video of the month, Brian’s task at hand was to address moisture lingering in the wall and carpet area resulting from a shower leak. Brian began by conducting a precise assessment using both a moisture meter and infrared technology. This dual approach allowed him to pinpoint areas with persistent moisture accurately. To extract moisture from the air, Brian utilized a dehumidifier, which significantly accelerated the overall drying process. Then employing an air mover directed into a Drymatic Boost Bar, this enhanced the rate of moisture evaporation from surfaces. By pumping out air at a temperature 10-12 degrees higher and the use of Drymatic Mats this caused the heat to break the boundary layer. By placing a skirting mat around corners, he harnessed the power of directed energy to elevate vapor pressure of the material and lower vapour pressure of the air (dry air). Well done, Brian.
