Drymatic Dries Off the Dishwasher

Tom Macdonald from REASSURED RESTORATIONS | HERVEY BAY, QLD

Job of the month - June 2022

The Job of the Month for June 2022 comes from Tom Macdonald and is a water damage job in a kitchen. The dishwasher in the kitchen had an inlet tap fitting that came loose and water went into the cabinetry and under the kicks.

The cabinetry dried but the kicks and subfloor still showed elevated levels of moisture in them. Injection drying under kitchen cabinetry is the way to go in these cases.

As usual we have a fan blowing air into a Boost Bar which is raising the temperature and pumping hot air into the attached 12 port adaptor. Hoses from the 12 port adaptor are then fed into drilled holes underneath the kitchen cabinetry to raise the surface temperature of these hard to reach places.

You may have noticed that not all holes are used on the 12 port adaptor. We leave these ports open rather than plugging them. We never want to plug any unused ports as this will create back pressure.

If the machine ever reaches target temperature, the middle heater on the Boost Bar will automatically turn off first, while the heaters on the sides will always be engaged to maximise their use.

GREAT JOB FROM TOM MACDONALD!
