Drymatic and Curtain-Wall make a great team!

Kay Heid – KCJ Restorations in Brisbane

Job of the month December2019

Heavy rain vs wooden doors and louvre windows resulted in the rain winning and an insurance claim for the builder, luckily Kay and the team were called to restore this lovely house to its former glory.

These days everyone wants an open plan house, it makes the place feel more spacious and it allows natural light to flow through the place.  However, when it comes time for the restoration team to drop in their Drymatic II to dry a place like this it can be tough to keep temperatures high while they are losing all that heat to the unaffected parts on the house.

This is where the Curtain-Wall system is such great addition to any restorers kit.  The benefits are numerous, easy to use extendable poles, versatility to adapt to different height ceilings from section to section, unlimited extendable by simply adding another module all whilst using no tape leaving zero damage to walls and floors.  Then there is the time and cost saving with no frames to build, ability to be installed by a single person and at the end of the job, you pack all the components back into the heavy duty carry bag ready to use on the next job, no wastage, no rubbish to dispose of and great for the environment.

Back to the job, behind the Curtain-Wall zipper door the team installed 1 x Drymatic II to get the room environment temperature and humidity regulated, intake and exhaust hoses are ducted to another part of the house where the air conditioner is helping dry the wet air.

Add in 3 air movers connected to Drymatic Boost bars and a selection of appropriately sized Drymatic heat drying mats to cover the affected floor areas provides a super effective and efficient way to restore this beautiful and valuable timber floor.  Without the controlled and evenly distributed heat provided by the Drymatic system this floor may not have been saved resulting in a costly replacement and the inconvenience of the removal and installation of the flooring.

Awesome setup Kay team from KCJ Restorations and thanks for sharing this job with the group.
