Cleaning up a Laundry Leak

Photo of the month May 2022

The May 2022 photo of the month goes to Alan Bethel.

The water damage restoration job featured in our photo gallery for this month is from a leak in a laundry. The leak that started in the laundry made its way through the kitchen and all the way to the living room.

We can see from these photos that a lot of care and attention has been made to ensure that the drying of the walls and kitchen carcass doesn’t create any tripping hazard. In the kitchen we have an air mover blowing air into a Drymatic Boost Bar that has a 12-Port adaptor attached. The 12-port adaptor allows for injection drying with hoses into the kitchen carcass.

We then have another air mover and Boost Bar connected to some 4x0.5m and 2x0.5m wall mats to target dry affected walls at the back of the kitchen and living area. We can also see that the carpet had to be removed in the living room.

Finally, there is an XPower dehumidifier to help dry the air in the environment to speed up the drying process.

You can view more of these photos in our Drymatic Owners Club Facebook Group.

ALAN did a FANTASTIC JOB WITH THE TIDY HOSES AROUND THE KITCHEN!
